Tom & Ann Saunders are shown here with their kids, Thomas B. Saunders the 5th and wife Lynn with their children Madalynn & Leslie Ann, Ann Catherine Williams & her husband Perry and their son Jordan, Amy Haydon and her husband Joel and their daughters Mamie Cate and Caroline, and their dog Buddy. Tom B, recently deceased, is survived by his wife Anne. She remains living on the ranch in Parker County in Weatherford, Texas and are a 4th generation ranching family. Their son, Thomas, is now operating the ranch as the 5th generation. Tom B. Saunders the first was the first cattle broker in the Fort Worth Stockyards, and has a park in the Stockyards named for him, which is located under and behind Exchange Street. All of Tom and Ann’s children remain involved in Saunder’s Ranch in some way, and maintain a proud family tradition that has become a valued part of Fort Worth culture. The grandkids are following also in their parents footsteps in ranching and agriculture. The Saunders family is avidly involved in the Doss Heritage Center in Weatherford, Texas. Tom B. started the Log Cabin project, that maintains log cabins in the Heritage Center that represents the original founding of Parker County and help modern day Fort Worth visitors learn about our area’s heritage.
